How is VeggieTales Kids’ Worship! different from VeggieConnections?
VeggieTales Kids’ Worship! has been completely re-written and contains 90% new material and only 10% reworked material from the VeggieConnections curriculum.
The ALL NEW leader’s guide contains newly written and interactive Bible stories, teacher’s devotionals, planning ideas, program overview, and Adventure Zones (including newly written games, snacks, and crafty outreach projects). The kit also includes a brand new Music CD, Bob and Larry plush puppets, and a CD-ROM with all new leader’s materials, promotional materials, and clip art. The only things that we have repurposed from the VeggieConnections material are the fantastic VeggieTales video clips and the puppet skits. We chose the 13 clips and skits that best fit this unit theme from the 52 original clips and skits in the VeggieConnections program.
Can I use this kit for something other than a children’s church program?
This kit is flexible enough to work for early evening programs, Summer Sunday School, Wednesday night programs, and more. You simply need to decide how many weeks or lessons you plan to teach and then choose the lessons that best suit your program. Lessons 1-6 cover the life of Moses, and lessons 7-13 cover the life of Jesus. You could easily teach these sections separately in 6-7 week units. Or, you can teach them together and decide which lessons to skip to get to the desired length of your program.
What Bible translation does this curriculum use?
We use the International Children’s Bible (ICB), a kid-friendly translation that is written specifically for a third-grade reading level.
