Me, Myself and Bob - Phil Vischer's New Book

"Me, Myself, and Bob" is Phil Vischer's story of the birth and destruction of a dream. I knew that this book would be good, but I really found it to be a very interesting and compelling story, filled with Phil's clever wit and humor. As I read the book - I was reminded of how good of a writer Phil is and he keeps you engaged page after page.

In 1993 I was fulfilling a dream and began working as a children's pastor in Portland Oregon. I started to look for tools that could assist me in presenting the gospel to children. There was not alot of choice in 1993. In the fall I came across an ad in the Children's Ministry Magazine and purchased one of the first 500 copies of "Where is God When I'm Scared". This was a great new series and I knew that these guy were onto something big. Over the years I have continued to use Veggietales as a children's Pastor in teaching, VBS and any other setting that would fit. I also started a web business and toy store featuring Everything Veggietales. I say all of this to say that Phil has been a pioneer in raising the creative bar. Phil took a risk and dreamed - thus other people have dreamed and now there is a wide selection of creative children's products.

Me, Myself , and Bob is an inspiring read that causes anyone to dream ( and dream again) and believe that they can make a difference. I can truly relate to Phil and the desire to dream and do something for God. In my own situation - it is so easy to get lost in the doing and forget what is really important - God. Thank you for sharing your story Phil.

I suggest that you run out and purchase this book! Buy a few copies and give them to friends for Ground Hog Day ( I think this holiday is coming soon). I say this for a couple of reasons.
First, it is a good read ( did I already say that?). It is not just a book that will sit in the trunk of your car.
The second reason: I believe that there are many more creative, funny, quirky stories that Phil has yet to tell the world. I for one want to hear these stories and buying Phil's book will help to keep Phil going. I don't want to see Phil having to go work at Krispy Kreme.
